Cooling Towers:
CT Alignment, Balancing, Vibration Testing CT Sweep testing
when tower has a VFD drive. Set each point up for peak hold and sweep VFD 1 Hz every 10 seconds from 30 Hz to 60 Hz. This
should uncover any unstable rotating rpms that will cause catastrophic failure in tower operation. Laser
alignment to provide true alignment between drive motor and driven gearbox. This will reduce vibration and wear in couplings.
Balancing of the drive shaft and fan wheel will also reduce and unwanted vibration and
stress on CT drive and mounting structure.
